We took a walk down to the other end of our reachable coastline yesterday - Dumpton Gap! I know I laughed too when we first moved here.
A heart shape rock covered in weed - aaahhhh, thank you!
Florence kept a look out for bears after finding this footprint!
When the tide is all the way out, which it was yesterday mid morning you can walk along the beach all the way into Ramsgate, this is something we do more in the summer then head for a cold beer and milkshakes in the Belgium Bar, but if the tide is in you can do a cliff top walk through the park and down onto the esplanade, yesterday we did neither we headed back into Broadstairs a coastal walk all the way for chips on the jetty.
Broadstairs way out in the distance - that's where we're heading to!
An old tyre buried in the sand makes the perfect home for a limpet.
It was really choppy and murky out there yesterday, but through the mist you could just make out the odd boat, some sailor getting there fix.
Click on the above picture - you can just about make out the boat!
For me? Why thank you!!
It is a fantastic place to explore the rock pools along this stretch of coast, they are amazing and we've spent many a happy afternoon investigating.
Little rivers are created along the sand, water racing to catch up with the tide going out.
The skies did start to clear behind us the farther we walked on and we just made it to Broadstairs before the tide started to come in.
Nearly there!
Looking back to where we have just walked, Dumpton left far behind hidden by the mist.
Braving the elements and crabbing on the paddling pool.
Chips on the Jetty...
...then home to the warmth and probably glorious sunshine - typical!

I so enjoyed that breath of fresh air and the chips, I loved those.
Loved the magical seeweedy heart too. The bears footprint made me giggle, I have a bear who makes footprints just like them.
