Hulk Hands

Can you guess what we've been doing today??

Welllllllll.......what happens when you leave a two year old alone with a palette of four 'originally' dollops of paint for three minutes - tops?

She mixes them up of course, paints her hands not the paper and smiles a big cheesy grin when you realise what's happened.

At least it kept to her hands and I didn't find her face smothered or hair all stuck together or even worse the walls redecorated......! Though the table was a pretty sight afterwards - thank goodness for oilcloth.

To be honest, I couldn't help but smile, but for straight faced oh no'ness' I had to suppress my laughter.

Don't you just love the little darlings?

I certainly do, this little treasure of mine.

I confess I've always dreading hearing: Can I paint with my hands? My initial thoughts are: The mess...but I'm glad to have those paintings of little colourful hands to cherish.

Your daughter looks very sweet and happy!

Warm wishes

Oh bless her - how can someone so cute be so messy.

Actually I'm sad now - my 2 are far to old for that sort of thing :( Can I borrow her?

Oh bless her!! She looks far too angelic to even want to get so messy ;-) I think we've got all this to come!! We can't wait though.

So sweet... reminds me of the endless paintings of 'toffee yoghurt' that Harriet used to bring home from playschool... you wouldn't believe she is now doing A level art! So, you never know... she's probably a budding artist!
Thanks for the memories

gorgeous! my little one loves arty stuff but does tend to taste any medium we use :-) She did very well there not to taste the paint - she must have been sooo tempted.

That muddy mix of colour always seems to be the one they prefer to bright red, blue and yellow. Amazing what they can do in a minute.

It reminded me of when we forgot all about little Bun who had toddled off age two. She spent a happy five minutes with my make-up bag. Make-up trashed, but she looked hilarious in her search for sticky prettiness. It's when they're quiet that they're up to no good.

There is nothing better than the feeling of squishing paint between your fingers and that's a scientific fact.

Ok maybe not.

But it goes feel good.

I need an excuse to do it!
