Back from lunch

We've just got back from lunch - little Miss Boo and I.

Ham sandwiches from plastic wrap bread and an orange capri sun each - beach fodder. Minus the hard boiled egg!

All scoffed in the hut to avoid sand in our sarnies and begging hungry seagulls.

Ripples of a different kind.

This time of year is so calming on the seafront and most especially on our little patch of sand where the beach hut is erected.

Kids still at school, grown ups at work - just the odd parent and toddler (like myself and boo) or pensioner - sometimes two - as a couple with deckchairs wrapped underarm, their eye on a piece of the warm underfoot sand to softly doze off in said deckchair or possibly just out for a stroll enjoying the beach, crystal clear sea, swoop and call of the odd seagull, the sun, the warmth, the peace and the serenity of it all.

As I type I have in my head that all hell is about to break loose - it is that time of day again.

Toodle pip for now.

Enjoy your day.

It must be wonderful to catch these moments on the beach, and I'm sure they are making a beautiful blanket of memories for the little Boos too. Your very own beach hut??- blisserooooo! ! xx

Lovely photos as usual. The ripple on the sea photos are very relaxing to look at - almost as good as being there but not quite!

Lovely and calm, so reflective in many ways :-) Hope the afternoon rush wasn't too hectic for you.

The peace and calm just oozes through Nina. You took me back to those lovely stolen days of toddlerdom. I fancy giving them a sickie once school is back so we can steal a day and have the beach to ourselves just like you. You paint the most wonderful images.

I adore this recounting of your lunch adventure. I can just imagine how special it was to lunch in the hut with your baby : )

Your pictures are lovely. Absolutely lovely.

What a great way of having lunch together. Beautiful pictures that almost convince that the water is warm enough for a swim...maybe it was. Last time we went down to Folkestone Harbour, it was absolutely freezing, did dip my toes in but that was all! Have a good weekend. Dev x
