Fresh out of the oven - only a moment ago.
I found this recipe early last week when talk of snow was in the air - kick starting those seasonal feelings (for me) and starting to make me feel a little inspired.

We've made two types this afternoon - plain and coconut, but 'oh boy' do I have some great ideas for alternative recipes.

The kitchen is a mess - all covered in puffs of icing sugar and hand prints, there is flour on the floor and the washing up is piled up as tall as me (not that difficult) in the sink, but hey ho - the wood burning stove is stoked up nicely, the kids have retreated to the wii and all I can hear is the whoops and cheers coming from the front room.
These are in honour of our lack of snow and............Mr B has gone out to brave the shops and crowds to get 'the' tree.

I'm off to curl up in the front room and join the kids - eagerly awaiting the return of Mr Boo and our tree.

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you're enjoying the real snow......
if you have it.
xXx

nice!!
No snow here, and no tree yet either. I've been knitting mistletoe (as you do!) and even that hasn't put me in a Christmassy mood. I think I need some of these cookies to add a little festive cheer to what has been a difficult week. Have fun with that tree x
Your sweets look delicious and festive with or without snow!
oh yummy...snow bites-look at your dear sweet child holding them...bless x
my big old high ceilings and drafty doors...just feeling as though my toes are dipped in ice box's hehe...
its turned very cold here in Devon.

oh those look fantastic. our snow has gone now(hurray!), but it was pretty while it lasted, and K was very excited that it came on her birthday.
Man alive it's been a while since I was here and LORDY, your photo's are stunning!!! Have you been taking lessons... I am seriously impressed x
I have never heard of these but they look so good! I'm off to investigate.
mmm I'll have to give them a try after I've made some mince pies. I stocked up on mince meat when I was over in the UK so all ready to make them! Enjoy decorating the tree xx
They look really yummy, thank you for the link.

Oh these cookies bring back so many memories. My mother use to make similar looking ones, and she called them Russian Tea Cookies. They are my father favorites, and so light and lovely. I hope that your family enjoys :)
