*gulp*
My little boy is twelve today - not so little 'eh?!'
My good and kind and gentle giant of a boy is twelve today 'oh my!'
Must...try...not...to...well...up.
He's the kind of boy that can make you laugh, cry and shout out in frustration, all rolled into one, at any one given moment with only a single word uttered or shrug of his shoulders. Blimey he can annoy the hell out of me some days.
But......!
He is (and I think he probably knows it) the only male in my life that can get away with and is forgiven 'anything'......well almost anything - cake pinching is not included - that is unforgiven.
Most of the time though he makes me giggle......a lot - with his daft ideas and silly sense of humour and his infectious love of strange stuff.
Like the '70's - Oh how my boy wishes he could travel back in time to play cops and robbers with Gene Hunt or rub shoulders with Steven Spielburg and be 'that guy' that gets eaten by Jaws!
Or jump forward a little and 'rock on' at Live Aid, rubbing shoulders with the movers and the shakers of the time.
He is smart and clever and funny and for that I am very grateful.
Happy birthday - my not so little anymore - man.
Get well soon - he's spending his birthday in bed with a bad chest infection so not the kind of day he was expecting.
He shrugs - I shrug......we both mutter - c'est la vie.

He sounds wonderful Nina, couldn't have thought of a better decade to want to live in, aahhh the 70's. I hope his chest soon clears up and hey who knows his voice might have broken a little :0) Happy birthday!
