In the snow...on my phone!
It started coming down before we had even slunk out of bed this morning around 9am and to be honest...it's still coming down, if ever so softly ten hours later.
Only myself and the smallest one made it this far - die hard snow trippers we'd like to think of ourselves. Everyone else had waved goodbye and made their retreats a good hour after we reached the seafront. A journey that normally takes only a few ten minutes on an average day.
It took a while, bumping into friends along the way...the odd lamp post and forgotten curb, but we made it - though no sand (snow) castles today. Even though she insisted all the way, but realising when the beach came into view it would be an impossibility.
Happy Sundaying - have a lovely evening. We've had our fill of a roast, baths have been accomplished and now it's off to bed for the sleepy heads (I fear I shan't be far behind) with thoughts of 'will it be a snow day tomorrow?!'
'Oh' I do hope so.

It was a very busy Friday here with the snow we had. Today we just had a little dust for a couple of hours and that was it. I can see your little ones had a fantastic time. Have a lovely evening, Nina. xx

Good evening Nina! Ours was the snow day and it must have fallen in the dead of night. I love the surprise of seeing it first thing in the morning - almost more exciting than the arrival of Father Christmas - but I almost wish I could have gazed at it for a few moments during the night. Will tomorrow be a snow day for us? I have no idea! I LOVE snow, I LOVE snow days but I'm not very good at the not knowing until tomorrow thing :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday.
Stephanie

Love that shot of the abandoned, snowy sledges - it says it all really, the sign of a good winter's Sunday.

ReplyDeleteAs a child I always wanted it to snow where I grew up but alas we had to travel 4 hours to get to the snow fields which is something we tried to do most winters. Your photos bring back so many wonderful memories of those days :)

Hi Michele - and thank you for letting me know.

Snow is so much fun, especially when you have a sledge to ride on and such a cute bear hat to keep your ears warm! It is nice to cosy up afterwards though, snuggling in a warm bed after a busy snowy day is the best!
