{pictures taken December 27th 2012 - Stodmarsh, Kent}
One of those rare moments when the clouds parted for a brief moment revealing a smattering of blue sky underneath the grey. Strobes of sunlight beaming out - almost dazzling - like a water coloured painting, awash with beauty and promise.
I'm just trying to take it slow - breath in, breath out - and remember all is not bad in the depths of Winter and even January can delight - if you know where to look. Seek and you shall find...if you want to.

My motto exactly as I sit here staring at all the rain coming down and the grey grey skies as they are lowering themselves inch by inch...
ReplyDeleteSome stunning pictures there Nina. I really love the colours that still shine through even in the depths of winter.
ReplyDeleteI think you are taking the right steps just take it slow in January finding the pleasure in the every day.
Wishing you all a very happy bright 2013.

How I miss Stodmarsh. The last time I visited I was amazed how much the reserve had grown. Three marsh harriers, tree sparrows, short-eared owls, beardys, and a Montague! Unbelievable...
ReplyDeleteJust wish it was easier to get to (no car) and I was fitter.
Please, for this ex-Ramsgatonian, could ou post more of these, please?
Hi Neal - how lovely and thank you. I will do my best.
Deletewowza i truly love the reflections in the marsh waters ;0)x
ReplyDeleteTaking it slow, what good advice to yourself and for me to remember - my frenetic toddler is rather demanding just now so I do need to remember to enjoy those brief moments when she's peaceful and occupied! juliex

Beautiful images Nina ... it's been such a muddy, wet, grey winter so far, yet only yesterday I was marvelling at the glistening world caught in a moments sun after heavy rain.
