My guys do like to race - all three have the competitive streak in them...it is true.
Healthy, but competitive.
At the mere mention of a competition all three will be in there like a shot.
I always have the scene from Grease in my head when they line up, all set to outwit and out race the other.
But these are not drag races and the last time I had the figure to do a pair of pedal pushers justice was back in the eighties.....big sigh!
But an imaginary scarf is always waved in my head with a ready, get set....go, go, goooooo.
And it is always with huge pride witnessing my little ones slowing it down just enough, alternating letting each other win.

Bet they all have the best time.
ReplyDeleteCompetition is good (luckily since my lot are very competitive too!) - they have a wonderful race track there. Is it the beach promenade? Juliex

Looks like a brilliant day!
ReplyDeleteI love being out with my children, they grow so fast, I'm always worried I'll miss something!
Have a great week!

Hi Nina :-)
ReplyDeleteThese pictures remind me of similar races which used to take place along the water front in Port en Bessin, Normandy where we used to live. I recall a little anxiety each and every time when my children would reach the part where concrete gave way dangerously to sea with the same fear each time that they might fall in. I think my much older daughter is competitive, yes. I'm not sure about the two youngest ones though.
Are you on hafl-term in England? If so have fun.
Stephanie
Lots of fun there! It's great that they have a good time together and 'share' the winning place! :) x
ReplyDeleteLove that they let each other win, mine used to do that too :) Have a lovely half term with your gang :)
ReplyDeleteThat's so sweet that they let each other have a chance at winning!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your half-term......

Reminds me of childhood days racing down hills on the go-cart my dad built. Happy days!
ReplyDeleteGreat fun! Hope you are all enjoying the half term break.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos, Nina. I spent the first 7 years of my like growing up in Kent and those photos remind me so much of ones my parents have. Even though I now live on the other side of the world, there's still some English blood in my veins. Xx Deb
ReplyDeletewow, contraptions!! times change don't they! Heather x
ReplyDeleteNICE POST!
ReplyDeleteSounds very sweet. My two are cometitive but sadly are out to win, win, win!
ReplyDeleteWe have to say "first one to the top of the stairs!" to get our two upstairs for bath and bed. Every night. The eldest always wins but luckily the youngest thinks the whole "race" thing is hilarious so it doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteLove the tint in these photos, Nina.
